How often do you recommend people do a cleanse?  Does the cleanse need to be customized differently each time you do it?

AC

I recommend doing a cleanse at least twice per year, though it is always great to do seasonally or to periodically reboot if your stress levels have spiked for any period of time.

It’s best to complete the questionnaire each time you start a cleanse because something will always change and we will re customize each time. If someone sees fantastic results after their 15 day cleanse and wants to continue their progress, we suggest they continue on their same food plan and use the recommended maintenance protocol for supplements.

People who consume a lot of dairy (before cleansing) always miss their cheese. Another thing that clients often find challenging is the eating schedule – but once they begin they program,; they quickly understand it’s importance.  What you eat is as important as when you eat it!

Why is there such a strict focus on eating at certain times?

Eating all healthy organic food is a great start, but the wrong combinations at the wrong times will sabotage efforts and work against you especially if you’re trying to lose weight. Combinations and consumption times need to be customized and they make all the difference.

Is every person that does the program put on the same eating schedule?  

AC

DEFINITELY NOT!! We customize to every schedule and factor in when you wake up and what times you typically eat meals.  It is very important to properly time foods so we will change things as needed but each person’s individual schedule and lifestyle are key factors that we build from initially.

How many times a day do you recommend people eat both on and off the cleanse?

AC

Ideally, I recommend 3 meals and 1-4 snacks, YES it’s that broad of a range with the snacks. It depends on how long someone is awake, their exercise frequency and what their meals are comprised of.

Let’s say, pulling off the cleanse is not in the cards for you right now, what are three tips to cleaning up your diet and revving up your metabolism that anyone can try?  Asking for a friend.

Three things that anyone can start doing right now that will improve their metabolism are:

  1. Cook at home and bring your own lunch to work – this way you are in control of (and responsible for) the ingredients and the portions of your meals.  I know that’s technically 2 tips but they go hand in hand.
  2. Drink at least 80 ounces of water a day – there is just nothing better you can do for your body overall but especially when you’re looking to clean up your system.
  3. Eat within 2 hours of waking up and avoid eating within 2+ hours of going to bed – kicking off your nutrition shortly after starting your day and shutting things down with enough time for proper digestion before you fall asleep are vital to optimizing your metabolism.  Yes, technically another twofer but these 2 only work when done in conjunction.
